Community Centers

There are five spacious Burke Centre community center facilities available for use authorized by the Board of Trustees, and/or for rental by Conservancy members only.  The community centers are also used for Burke Centre meetings of Neighborhood Councils, Cluster Committees, the Board of Trustees, the Architectural Review Board, Appeals Board, committees and task forces established by the Board of Trustees, and by chartered organizations such as the Swim Club and Scout groups.


ØPhase One: August 15, 2020 – Allow usage by BCC governance groups (meetings of boards, etc.)

Only the Commons Community Center will be available for use during this phase. Additional centers will become available in subsequent phases based upon demand and other considerations in the discretion of the Board of Trustees and/or Conservancy Staff.

ØPhase Two: September 15, 2020 – Allow usage by BCC chartered groups.

ØPhase Three: October 15, 2020 – Allow usage by Non-Chartered groups and Classes.

ØPhase Four: November 15, 2020 – Allow paid rentals.

Important Notices for CC Rentals:

-Hours: Please note that all community center rental activities must be completed by 11 PM, including the Burke Centre tennis courts.

The Community Centers are centrally located in their surrounding community, and therefore, renters are asked to be conscientious of overflow parking.  Towing will be enforced at the vehicle owner's expense if blocking mailboxes, driveways or traffic flow.
*Rentals during the pool season must be willing to share the parking lot with pool visitors.*

-Serving Alcohol:
In order to serve alcohol at a community center during a rental, the contract holder must provide proof of insurance for the event in the form of a Host Liquor Liability policy certificate with a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability coverage. The Burke Centre Conservancy must be listed as the "additional insured" (see link below for more info).
